In June the Rhododendrons are in full bloom
The Lily Pond will bloom all summer, the Gold Fish will surface if you keep still.
The next group of photos are of my favorite beaches,
Lambert's Cove
It's calm water on the Vineyard Sound .
A beach pass is required.
Path to Lambert's Cove Beach
Sepiessa Point, it's free, warm , calm water, perfect for swimming.
This is a salt water pond, refreshed by a cut to the ocean. It's warm, safe swimming for toddlers.
Driving to Sepiessa, look for " New Lane " off of the Egartown - West Tisbury Road, about one half mile from the intersection of Old County Road and the Edgartown - West Tisbury Road
My all time favorite beach is The Cedar Tree Sanctuary , it's free, swimming is not allowed.
However, there are no officials on watch.
The path to Cedar Tree Sanctuary, through a wooded trail, emerges to lovely vistas.
This is the only sign you'll at the end of Indian Hill Road, continue down the hill for about a mile.
Driving to Cedar Tree Sanctuary , go South on State Road, to Indian Hill Road, which forks to the right, just before Cronig's "Up Island Market,"
At the end of Indian Hill Road , there is a unpaved path , just wide enough for a car.

Long Point Beach, Property of the Trustees of Reservations
This is the most famous beach on the Island.
It's expensive , but, you can buy a subscription, which makes it free to members.
Facing South, it has big waves from the Atlantic Ocean.

The entrance to Long Point Beach is Waldron's Bottom Road, shown here looking East and West,
on the Egartown - West Tisbury Road.
The path to the beach is straight ahead, follow the signs. Look for the Osprey nest on the way in.
Great Rock Bight Preserve , it's free , but, a hike in from the parking lot
The most overlooked beach on the Vineyard, Great Rock Bight is free, and swimming is allowed.
There is a half mile walk from the parking area to the beach.
Look for this landmark on the North Road , the turn off for Great Rock Bight is a half mile further.
The only turn off marker is small.
A must see attraction for both swimming and sightseeing is Menensha Beach
The next group of photos are some of the most interesting off the beaten path places on the Vineyard.
Menensha Hills Reservation
It's a several mile walking trail, that ends up at the Brick Yard
